Historical Specifics:

The 77 mm Field gun was one of 22 artillery guns captured by the 3rd Battalion AIF Hargicourt, France on 18 September 1918. It was originally allotted to Nowra as a war trophy. The gun has been restored but the trail of the gun was in very poor condition and has been replaced in sections with non standard parts.

The Feldkanone 16 (FK16) was introduced in to the German Army in 1916 to supersede the FK 96. Although slightly heavier it provided a greater range and by the end of the war the German Army had 3,020 FK16 in service. It was one of the few models the German Army were allowed to retain after the Armistice.
